The Easiest Way To Move My Site To New Hosting (HostGator)
I just moved my site from Host4Profit to HostGator. The entire transfer process completed within a day without causing any downtime on my site.
I was skeptical to move my site to a new host in the beginning because I am not a tech’s geek. If I have to do the entire transfer process myself, I will definitely mess up my site or causing downtime.
Why I Choose HostGator
In fact, most of the web hosting companies are offering free website transfer. HostGator offer a cheaper hosting package and I have a HostGator Coupon Code that give me almost free web hosting for the first month.

The Transfer Process
1)Â Â Once I sign up with the HostGator Coupon Code, I filled out a Transfer Request form together with my domain name and Host4Profit FTP login detail. In the mean time, I also contacted my formal web host, Host4Profit to request for my domain name setting access info.
2)Â Â The next day, HostGator informed me that my entire web file has been transferred and set up a temporary URL for my website.
3)Â Â I login to HostGator CPanel to double check my web file and my site temporary URL.
4)Â Â Once everything is working properly and my site show in the temporary URL, I proceed to change my name servers with my domain registrar. It will normally take 24 to 72 hours to update to new name servers.
The entire web hosting transfer process is simple and uncomplicated. I am happy with HostGator and their customer service is top notch.

Thanks for the great content and information. I am always going through the internet searching for good content and to also get ideas for my home based business web sites and future articles on this basic and general subject. Again, thanks for the great content and I will be coming back to revisit this site again for more information in the near future.
Gday, My partner and i totally agree. I discovered your site through Bing and after reading your posting I chose to comment to your website. My personal scenario is the fact that I’ve been using no cost web hosting with out a domain name before and in the long run got bitten in the back. Free Web hosting isn’t very good and no matter what you do on the internet, it is best to get your own website name – just like you right here. Regardless of what subject an individual write about – this is the way to go.
Came accross this site because I’m a Hostgator client and am looking to switch.
Hostgator is indeed a good service as far as it goes, but there are a couple of issues that should be taken into account when considering them.
1. If you use any app that needs to have register_globals set to off, you have a problem. Hostgator, has register_globals set to on by default (since this is a security weakness, I don’t understand why they do that). Unfortunately, unlike some other hosting services they won’t let you set it for your individuals account. I sent a message to support and several days later – still no change.
2. Hostgator has turned off the default email address function which is one of the handiest tools to manage your email.
So, Hostgator is okay if your needs are very basic, but definitely sub par if you want to get some serious business done.
Make it a great Day!
