Without capturing the web visitor email address on their first visit, you will lose them forever. Even you successfully sold them during their first visit, without capturing their email address, you can only make them a onetime customer.

Joining a new home business model is a big decision. Follow a right home business model is equivalent having success insurance. It is recommended to ask as many questions as possible to narrow down your home business model selection. You may use the following model questions to help you make an informed decision before joining any home business opportunity.

1. Do the founders have previous experience running a similar company?
2. Do they have enough funding to keep the online business running for years?
3. What is the cost of joining the network marketing company?
4. Are there recurring membership fee?
5. How is the refund policy?
6. Is there a product?
7. Is the product marketable?
8. Is the price of product reasonable?
9. Is the product something you are proud to be associated with?
10. Is the compensation plan easy to understand?
11. When will you get paid?
12. How will you get paid?
13. Are there minimum payment threshold?
14. How much you need to invest before qualify for payment?
15. Are they provide duplicate system ready for you to copy?
16. Is their home business model duplicable?
17. How effective their response to your question?
18. What type of support and training available to members?
19. What is their reputation online?
20. Is their market oversaturated?

There may be hundreds or even thousands of business models out there. Of course some are more successful than others but they all contain their own set of pros and cons.

It is very tempting to do everything first and that isn't possible. Stick to one business model and build one thing upon another until you have a good solid base from which to operate.

Leveraging SEO (search engine optimization) is important for any website. The quickest way to get indexed by search engines is using a blogging platform. Wordpress is the most popular blogging platform with thousands of plug-in to choose from and ease of content adding. Search engines love constant update website and you will get higher chances on first page of search result.

Branding yourself, your website and your business is vital in online marketing. Brand yourself as an expert or successful web owner, will gain higher credibility and trust from your visitors in order for you to promote your online business easily.

One of the quicker ways to begin to get you branded is by investing in PLR (Private Label Rights) products and changing the names of those products to include your own name or logo. (Don't forget that there must be some rewriting done.) For example: you might by a PLR E-Book about Easy Chinese Cooking and change the name to 'Susan Wan's Easy Chinese Home Cooking'.

You can give it away as a free gift on your own website, sell it or list it in E-Book repositories for others to use.

A capable mentor is someone who has already successful online and can guide you to avoid making all of the mistakes.

A successful internet marketer should already have their own business plan in place and a complete system that is ready for you to follow. A potential mentor should be able to guide you through complete step-by-step from product sourcing to marketing method.

There are support and couching program online for you to join. A good support and couching program will provide its members with a multitude of resources designed to help them achieve maximum home-business success. This type of program may incur monthly subscription fee but the supports and resources are priceless.

Network marketing or MLM (multi-level-marketing) is another way to look for good mentor. A successful networker or MLM leader will be very generous to show you their successful system. Network marketing company will normally summarize their top achiever every month. Mark that top achiever and follow under him/her network; you will have a complete successful footstep to follow.

Correct Mindset is one of the essential elements in any Online Home Business.

The success of any business both of the online as well as the offline requires the correct mindset from the beginning.

There are millions of people venturing into home business every day. If you are reading this, I can assume you are one of them too. How many of them can really become successful high earner like Stone Evans or Ewen Chia?

According to many sources, statistic shows that more than ninety percent (90%) of new start-up home business failed within 120 days. You read that right. It is more than 90%, a very high percentage of failure rates.

Look at this failure rate, many people may pause and reconsider the option of jumping into home based online business and stay in their 9 to 5 job will be more secure to them.

But, look! What happened to the ten percent (10%) of successful online home business? Success is not something impossible. Study why most of the online home business failed, can give you a good start up when you work on your online home business.

There are basically 3 myths that lead to failure.

Myth #1 - Wrong Perception about Online Home Business

Let ask yourself first, what is your own perception about online home business? Why you want to start online home business? The answer may be as follow.

1. Online home business required to work only 2 hours a day in my pajamas.
2. I can get rich quick!
3. I can work when I feel like I wanted to.

If your answer is similar to the model answers above, you are dead wrong. You will join the 90% group if you keep this perception towards your online home business. It should be totally opposite.

New start up online business required long hours of learning and trying in the initial stage. You may be able to work less hours when your business is established as Stone Evans or Ewen Chia.

If anyone telling you that working on online business can make you quick and easy money, they are scammers. There are countless of sale pages show you that they are playing golf most of the time, enjoying fancy vacation oversea, driving Ferrari, living in beachfront bungalow or working on seaside and you can too if you buy their ebook or join their easy money making membership. They will never tell you how many sleepless nights they have spent or how long they have been working on their business before they are able to bring their business in front of you. These sale tactics gave most of the online business newbie a wrong perception of online business is easy, quick and without any hard work.

Myth #2 - Hopping from one business model to another too soon or too frequent

Most of the failed netventurers are hopping from one business model to another too soon or too frequent. When they find a new product or system, they will jump into it and think that the 3 model answers in myth #1 will happen. When it never happened, they will quickly hopping into another product or system. By hopping from one boat to another, they trying to find a boat that can bring them to shore. But they never contribute to paddle the boat to make it move faster. Stick to one business model or system; continue work consistently is the key to succeed. Do not give up easily, you will enjoy fruity later.

Myth #3 - Lack of Business Plan

Online business is still a business. The same principles from brick and mortar business will apply on online home business. You should plan your home business before start up. A good business plan can lead you to success, a business without plan is a business planned to fail. Plan your road map to success and stick with it.

It is essential to have a detail steps to bring your business from zero to hundred. It will be easy to follow with a written business plan to show you when to do and how to do it to reach your goal. The best business plan is to follow a ready successful business plan.

Before you can have a successful home based business, you must first possess 3 "intangibles." These are things that must come from WITHIN you.

 ===> Intangible 1 <===

First,you must have a strong WHY.

Why MUST you have a successful home business? What is driving you? What is it that you CAN'T have in your life anymore and/or what is it that you absolutely MUST HAVE now?

For me, I couldn't stand working 12+ hours a day anymore and missing the experience of my children growing up. I also absolutely HAD TO HAVE the freedom of being able to control my life and finances through a little box (laptop computer) that I could carry with me anywhere in the world and not be tied to anyone's time pressures or demands but my own. That was my carrot and my stick. I felt a great pain deep in my gut of missing out on my children's lives and the incredible freedom that succeeding in a home based business would provide for me. I found my why. You MUST find yours.

You must BELIEVE that it is possible.

If you don't believe that it's POSSIBLE for you to have a successful home based business or make your living from home, you won't. It's that simple.

For me, figuring out that it was possible was just a matter of realizing that many other people were ALREADY making great money working from home. If they could do it, I could too. It would just be a matter of figuring out what those people were doing and then adapting it to my situation.

There is no shortage of undeniable PROOF that people (millions of them) are making money working from home. Just get online and do some research and you'll find countless testimonials and stories of REAL PEOPLE making real money on the Internet. Or head to your local bookstore and you'll find the same documented evidence of this fact. Truth is, it's getting easier and easier to make money with your own home based business.

I've always said that "affiliate marketing" (a simple way to make money from home) is the job of the future. In the old days, you had to go to a potential employer, apply for the position and hope for the best. Now you can simply go to any company you want, fill out their affiliate application and start work immediately. Affiliates are the new working class. In fact, making money with affiliate programs or making your living on the Internet is WAY MORE than possible. It is pretty much (or will be soon enough) unavoidable now. Affiliate marketing is the "job" of the future that's already here TODAY.

You must be willing to MAKE THE LEAP.

Ready, FIRE, then aim... This is the operating philosophy you MUST adopt to succeed with a home based business.

That's backwards for most people who like to aim before they fire. The fact is that home based business success is a moving target... The only thing constant about it is change. You need to stop analyzing the game and simply jump into it. You can't learn from the outside... You have to be *IN THE RING* to truly understand and profit from it. In fact, this is a business where you can truly be earning WHILE you're still learning...

The lesson here is that you will never really be READY to start a home based business. You simply have to start one. It's like having children... You're never really ready, but when it happens you adapt and grow and therefore you succeed. This is what I call: "Making the Leap"!

In the "brick and mortar" world you need to evaluate things very carefully before you decide to open up a business.
